Dante’s inferno is hitting store shelves next week (February 9th 2010) and already early reviews are coming in. One look at www.metacritic.com and you will find that the game (PS3, PSP, Xbox 360) is getting an average score of 75/100 stating the drop in score is mainly due to a lack of originality, comparing it to the God of War franchise.
While I understand professional reviews need to break down things like Graphics, Gameplay, Replay Value, etc… I believe that at some point we need to bring back “Fun Factor”.
So what if the game rips a ton from God of War, does it look good? Does it play good? And most importantly is it FUN?
That’s really what I want to know and with that the waiting game begins for Feb 9th, when I can try out Dante’s Inferno for myself and give my own “unbiased” thoughts on if the game deserves the 75 avg score its netting thus far.
What do you all think? Are reviews overanalyzing games now days or am I just crazy?
